“Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on?”
Brandy wanted too. She was just concerned with the other members of the coven. But that was just who she was, wasn't she? The motherly figure, the protector who put other's welfare in front of her own? She waited until everyone had left and it was just the four of them before she gave Talbot her full attention.
“Really. What the fuck is going on?”
"The queen witch over there has decided to bring us into her very dangerous game of 'who has the biggest balls of them all'."
Brandy cast her caramel hued glance toward Hallow as the words left her mouth, Brandy knew it was far too dangerous to let Talbot know exactly who he was. It was dangerous for her and Holly, because Hallow surely had other plans. As much as Brandy hated to admit it, Hallow was in control now. Brandy had to choose her steps carefully because Hallow had way too much power by playing this kind of card.
"You have been summoned here for a purpose, and that woman over there has control over you. I know you will not be happy by it and you certainly won't like it but if you value your life you will do what she says. The other option is death. Again."
Brandy had closed the distance between them, a heavy sigh leaving her lips. The human form that had been chosen for him was handsome, but she could tell he wasn't comfortable in his clothes.
"I'll bring you some food and some new clothes in the morning when the shop opens up. If you have any requests, you should let me know now before I leave - I highly doubt you will get the same kind of hospitality from Hallow"

At least one of them had common sense, Talbot decided. If they didn’t answer his questions, he was going to… going to… what?
"The queen witch over there has decided to bring us into her very dangerous game of 'who has the biggest balls of them all'."
Talbot’s eyes followed Brandy’s as he looked at Hallow, who was still smirking smugly. He was pascified for the moment with just that simple answer- but it didn’t escape his notice that no one cared to fill him in on why they had chose him. There was something these witches weren’t telling him, and he was going to figure it out… soon.
"You have been summoned here for a purpose, and that woman over there has control over you. I know you will not be happy by it and you certainly won't like it but if you value your life you will do what she says. The other option is death. Again."
“Care to tell me that purpose?” Talbot asked darkly, still staring at Hallow. The other witch said nothing, but if it was possible, her smirk widened. Talbot wanted to smack her. Smack her and…. What? It was frustrating, these impulse memories. It was like having memorized a play, only to forget certain parts- you knew it, it was on the tip of your tongue, but the words didn’t come.
"I'll bring you some food and some new clothes in the morning when the shop opens up. If you have any requests, you should let me know now before I leave - I highly doubt you will get the same kind of hospitality from Hallow"
Her kindness was touching- and probably the only bit of it he would be shown anytime soon. For her offer, Talbot gave her a genuine smile- small but stunning- and it was easy to see why he charmed the people around him when he wasn’t being overly demanding. “I will do that.” He promised. “Thank you.”

“Care to tell me that purpose?”
Brandy knew that Hallow really didn't, and even she wanted to slap the smug smirk off of her face. If only Brandy had stopped it sooner, or maybe found her own way to bind Hallow's powers, if only... if only everything didn't happen for a reason. This was no time for 'what if's' or 'if only'. Brandy could only imagine what Talbot was going through, the poor guy didn't even know how he was here, never mind why. He probably didn't even remember that he use to be a vampire.
But that smile. That genuine smile he had given her, had touched her. She had to make this right, and she would figure out a way very soon. Brandy always told herself there wasn't a hole too large that she couldn't crawl herself out of - only this time, she would be pulling out a couple other people as well. "I will do that. Thank you"
Brandy actually laughed softly, shaking her head.
"You are so silly, Talbot. I need you to tell me what kind of clothes you would like right now. I can't really stay here much longer, I have to be getting back home"
As much as she didn't want to leave, and as much as she wanted to take care of Talbot herself - she didn't exactly have that option.
"But I will back tomorrow morning, with what I promised"

It was all too much for Holly to take in, and she was ready to do the one thing that she knew best- run. But where the hell could she run, when the most badass of vampires would have her name in a short time and no doubt be jonesing for her death? She was so screwed, she should have listened to Brandy from the beginning. Hallow had been using her all along.
Looking at the man in front of her, the one that they had brought back from the fucking dead, Holly had to admit she had no idea what Hallow’s game was. She couldn’t be deluded enough to think that she would use Talbot against Russell- Talbot didn’t even remember who the hell he was, and judging from his comments, he barely knew what direction was up. Russell was going to waltz in, mow them all down, and take his boytoy home without even a quip in his thick, genteel accent- easy as could be. Holly felt like a rabbit facing a lawnmower.
"You are so silly, Talbot. I need you to tell me what kind of clothes you would like right now. I can't really stay here much longer, I have to be getting back home"
“Actually, would you mind giving me a lift?” That certainly gave Hallow pause, and the smirk slid from her face as she studied Holly for the first time. “I refuse to have anything further to do with this. You’ve gone too far, Hallow. Way too far. Russell can snack on you alone.”
”Is that how you really feel, Holly?” The words were so cold Holly nearly shivered. She knew she was being stupid, but fuck, Russell was going to kill her as soon as he was done with Hallow- might as well have a few happy nights with her boyfriend first.
“Yes. Find someone else to do your errands.”

“Actually, would you mind giving me a lift?”
Brandy wasn't expecting that. She wasn't expecting those words to come out of Holly's lips. She looked right at Holly and blinked a couple of times. "Holly?"
“I refuse to have anything further to do with this. You’ve gone too far, Hallow. Way too far. Russell can snack on you alone.”
Brandy's mouth actually dropped. After all Brandy had seen, after all Brandy knew of Holly and Hallow - Holly always obeyed Hallow. It didn't matter how drastic or how questioning Hallow's methods were Holly always followed - as if she felt she owed Hallow something.
Brandy knew that Hallow had helped Holly out somehow, but Brandy had always known it was for Hallow's own selfish reasons and that it had nothing to do with her actually caring about Holly's well being.
Hallow liked having someone to control, having someone to follow her blindly. Holly wasn't doing that anymore, but was it only Brandy who saw what a grave mistake Holly was making?
”Is that how you really feel, Holly?”
“Yes. Find someone else to do your errands.”
"Wait!"
Brandy was surprised at her own sudden outburst, her own change in tone. Brandy immediately went behind Holly, putting her hands on the girl's upper arms as she looked over Holly's shoulder toward Hallow.
"She doesn't mean it. She is just stressed Hallow, and worried about Cody. You know that Holly would never betray you, she follows you almost blindly. I will take Holly back to my place for tonight so that she can get her head back on straight. A good night's rest will straighten this all out."
She swallowed, hiding her panic as best she could and unwavering in her stature. Lightly she pressed her finger's into the flesh of Holly's upper arms - hoping that Holly would heed her unspoken advice.

Holly knew she had surprised her by asking, but really… what else was she supposed to do? Her eyes had really been opened in the last few days, and the things she was seeing… it was downright horrifying. Holly couldn’t play Hallow’s games anymore. It was time she bowed out and went to where she truly belonged… Hoyt, and her son needed her to.
She knew that her words were not going to be welcomed by her mentor, but Holly had learned a few things since wandering into Hallow’s realm of control. Hallow would stop at nothing until she got exactly what she wanted- Holly had known that for a while now. She had just never had a good grasp on what it was that Hallow wanted… and now that she did, Holly knew she wanted nothing to do with it.
“If you leave, Holly,” Hallow said slowly, her gaze unblinkingly fixed on her, ”It won’t be Russell Edgington you need to be worried about.”
Holly’s heart began to pound and she took another step back. Hallow didn’t threaten and then not deliver- and they both knew it. “I’m sorry… you feel that way.”
”Wait!”
Both witches turned to look at Brandy. Hell, even Talbot was staring at her.
"She doesn't mean it. She is just stressed Hallow, and worried about Cody. You know that Holly would never betray you, she follows you almost blindly. I will take Holly back to my place for tonight so that she can get her head back on straight. A good night's rest will straighten this all out."
Holly flinched under Brandy’s touch, but she didn’t miss the intention behind it. Hallow would never fall for anything like that… she was too smart.
”I think your friend is right, Holly. Perhaps you should leave… while you can. Wouldn’t want Russell to get his fingers on Cody, would you?”
“….No. I don’t.”

“….No. I don’t.”
Brandy let go of Holly's arms and lightly put her hand on her upper back. She nodded toward Hallow briefly then glanced toward Talbot.
"Tomorrow"
After the word left her lips she guided Holly toward the street and away from the Emporium. Once they were out of eavesdropping distance she let go of Holly and brought her hands up to run through her hair.
"Shit. I can't.. I can't even begin to make heads or tails of what happened tonight. Sam is sure gonna have a few choice words for me when I get back home I'm sure of it."
