Brandy, more or less, was looking for a coven to join up with. She had one back in Fargo because the simple truth was, no matter how strong a witch was, she was always stronger in a group. In a group she could be influential, as she believed she had a lot to offer. It was in her nature to follow the path of positive magic like healing and good fortune spells rather than the dark path of personal gain and necromancy.
Brandy had been drawn to the Moon Goddess Emporium and there was no question in her mind why, even standing outside she could feel the energy coming from it in droves. Unfortunately, not all of it was pure and a dark shadow seemed to loom around it. However, Brandy was sure she got called here for a reason and she took a deep breath to clear her thoughts before she walked through the doors.
The bell chimed through the small store when Brandy walked in, it looked like any other magic store but Brandy could already see the beaded curtain which usually meant there was a gathering room in the back. "Hello? Is anybody here?" She was curious to learn who ran the place, and even more curious to find out where all the dark energy was coming from.

Holly splashed water on her face, looking at her reflection in the mirror. She looked paler than usual, her blue eyes big and almost… gaunt. She looked like she had seen a ghost, and that simply wouldn’t do. Needless to say, when she had returned from her escape with Hoyt that morning, Hallow had had something to say about it, and she had not been happy. At the time that Holly had left, she had thought it would be worth it, but now she wasn’t so sure.
"Hello? Is anybody here?"
“Son of a bitch!” Holly’s fingers slid as she jumped, nearly jabbing herself in the eye. “One minute!” She picked up a paper towel and dried off her face, giving herself one last reproachful look in the mirror as she headed out of the bathroom and through the circle room, into the main store. “Did you need help?” She asked the girl, pausing behind the desk. Hallow had left after having her say, and Holly hadn’t been dumb enough to ask her where she was going or when she’d be back. The truth was, if she wasn’t so afraid of pissing her off again, Holly would have shut down the store for the day.

“Son of a bitch!” Brandy blinked a couple of times, turning her body to try and find the source of the voice. It sounded like it came from the back room, followed by the voice telling her she would be just a moment. Brandy busied herself by looking at the pendulum's with a curious tilt on her head. Pendulums came in all sorts of shapes and sizes and Brandy seemed to be drawn to one made from a rose quartz. “Did you need help?”
Brandy looked up from behind the wooden display of pendulums and smiled at the girl behind the desk. "You really look like you don't want to be here." She eased away from the display and made her way over to the desk, leaning on it as she looked up at Holly. "I am just here to check this place out. Name is BB, the magic in here is powerful."
Brandy didn't add that the magic here was not only powerful but totally conflicted, almost like this woman in front of her seemed to be. Still, there was light in her eyes.. it was just dimmed. Brandy nudged her head toward the back room., knowing already what it was used for.
"I was in the market for a local coven to join, do you know of any around here?"
Brandy would honestly be very surprised if there wasn't, and if there wasn't one that the woman wasn't involved in. There was influence in this place, and Brandy got the feeling that someone else was calling all the shots.

"You really look like you don't want to be here."
Holly blinked at her. Who was she, and what did she want? It was true that right then, Holly didn’t want to be there, or anywhere else that reminded her of Hallow. She didn’t even dare think about where she really wanted to be, because half of the time, Holly wouldn’t be surprised if Hallow could read her thoughts.
"I am just here to check this place out. Name is BB, the magic in here is powerful."
Holly raised her brows. That was sort of the point, after all- a place for witches should reek of powerful magic. It would be an insult to think otherwise. “Mmhmm.” She said noncommittally. She wasn’t sure she trusted this girl.. it wasn’t often new witches came to town, but that wasn’t what set off Holly’s radar. She couldn’t put her finger on it, but she was sure that Hallow had to know about this. Despite their current rift, Hallow had to be aware.
"I was in the market for a local coven to join, do you know of any around here?"
“We meet once a week, usually.” Holly said after a moment’s mental quaffling. If her senses were wrong and there was nothing threatening about this witch, Hallow would be even more livid over the loss of a potential addition to the coven. If Holly was right… well, Hallow would deal with it. Hallow knew how to deal with everything. “It changes week to week.”

“Mmhmm.”
Brandy tilted her head, hearing the animosity in her voice. "Hey, it's alright - I am not here to cause any trouble. I am a natural witch, my power comes from within. I could offer a lot to any coven. I hold no ill intent" It had been true, Brandy had no ill intent, but as she looked over her shoulder toward the beaded curtain she knew there was a lingering presence that did - and she was certain it wasn't the girl behind the desk.
“We meet once a week, usually. It changes week to week.”
"Well, what time do you meet this week?"
Brandy's interest was peaked. She was certain this was where she needed to be, something she had been feeling a lot lately. She had told Sam the same thing just the other day, but he might as well of just handed her a cookie and patted her head with how much understanding he had of it.
"My name is Brandy, but everyone just calls me BB. I would offer you my hand, but I only think that would make you uncomfortable and who needs awkward social gestures anyway right?"
Now, all that was left was for Holly to introduce herself, at least that way BB would know exactly who she was talking too. Even more awkward than holding hands was constantly having to refer to someone as "that black haired girl behind the counter".

Holly couldn’t put her finger on what it was about Brandy that put her off so much, but there was certainly something. Something that told her that Brandy wasn’t going to go along with the peacefulness that Hallow had created here for them, and right now, Hallow’s security was the only thing Holly could depend on.
"Hey, it's alright - I am not here to cause any trouble. I am a natural witch, my power comes from within. I could offer a lot to any coven. I hold no ill intent"
Holly eyed her as she kept glancing to the curtain. Holly couldn’t downright refuse anyone that wanted to come to an open circle, but to say she was less than thrilled about this stranger wouldn’t be inadequate. Holly had just made her life seem almost normal again… she didn’t know why, but something told her that this woman was going to cause a rift between her and Hallow. “Never said you couldn’t.”
"Well, what time do you meet this week?"
“Seven pm. Tonight.” Maybe the time would drive her off…
"My name is Brandy, but everyone just calls me BB. I would offer you my hand, but I only think that would make you uncomfortable and who needs awkward social gestures anyway right?"
Well, she was certainly forward. Holly had to grudgingly admire that, being a forward person herself. “Holly.” She said after a moment, though she folded her arms over her chest. “The coven leader is Hallow. She makes the decision whether or not you can stay.”

“Never said you couldn’t.”
Brandy tilted her head again, something was off in the tone of Holly's voice when she answered. Holly seemed threatened by her somehow, and Brandy really had no idea why. It wasn't Holly that should feel threatened, but rather the person who seemed shrouded in darkness. Maybe Holly didn't see it the way she did, she could tell Holly wasn't a bad person.. so maybe it was somebody else that was holding the wool over her eyes.
“Seven pm. Tonight.”
"Great. I will definitely be back for that"
Brandy had all the time in the world tonight, she actually didn't start Merlotte's till tomorrow anyway.
“Holly.” Brandy smiled when she said her name, she felt it suited the black - haired beauty. “The coven leader is Hallow. She makes the decision whether or not you can stay.”
Brandy nodded, picking up the rose quartz pendulum she set it down on the desk for Holly to ring through.
"Well then, I look forward to meeting her." Brandy already had a feeling she would be accepted, nothing like a moth to a flame...

"Great. I will definitely be back for that"
Holly bit back a smartass retort, shrugging. “I’ll see you then.” At least if she got the girl to leave now, she might have a word or two with Hallow to tell her to watch out for the new one. Something was going to happen with her, and Holly would be damned if she let Hallow walk blindly into it.
Or really, as blindly as Hallow went into anything.
Holly looked down at the rose quartz, picking it up and setting it on some tissue paper as she wrapped it before placing it in the bag. Her fingers tapped delicately on the register keys, her eyes practically boring into Brandy’s. “Fifteen seventy-five.”
”"Well then, I look forward to meeting her."
“I’m sure the feeling will be mutual.” Holly said, handing her change to her and closing the drawer. “Nothing Hallow loves than new… visitors.”
((jump to coven meeting?)

Brandy could tell Holly had a feeling that was off about her, but Brandy couldn't say anything about her true intentions quite yet. She couldn't flat out tell Holly she knew there was darkness here, nor could she tell Holly that she wanted to find out where the source was coming from. Ultimately it meant Brandy would try to cleanse the darkness for the benefit of good magic and probably down the road, try and help the others that had been corrupted.
But that was down the road, and this was now. “Nothing Hallow loves than new… visitors.”
Brandy nodded as she took out the pendulum from the bag and slipped it into her pocket. She wanted to bless it herself before she came back for the coven meeting because she was sure every item in the place had already been corrupted.
***
BB had come back, just like she said, for the coven meeting. She came in through the front door which was unlocked even though the closed sign was up and the lights were dimmed. Brandy figured it was because of the coven meeting so as she entered she headed for the beaded curtain.
"Hello? Anybody?" She figured someone would emerge shortly.

Hallow had made sure that everything was ready for the coven meeting that night. She had returned from her previous errand run (obtaining some items that would be of use to her later, if her plan succeeded,) to find Holly still sulking, but with some interesting news. It seemed as if a new witch had dropped in while she had been out, one that was natural born. Hallow particularly enjoyed those- they were so much more fun to break, and stronger, too. She… adored… Holly in her own way, but nothing beat a natural born witch.
She was in the process of lighting the candles in the circle room when Holly stepped through the beaded curtain, a strange look on her face. ”She’s here.”
Good.
Hallow straightened and smiled, going back out into the shop. “Hello, you must be Brandy.” Oh yes, she could feel the power in this one. She was just one step closer to fulfilling her plan, and therefore dominating the vampires once and for all. It was time that people realized it wasn’t the undead they had to fear- they were just the puppets. The puppetmasters were the witches, and it was too long they had remained in the shadows. “I’m Hallow Stonebrook. Welcome to our coven.”

“Hello, you must be Brandy.”
Hallow walking through the beaded curtain was the very opposite of a breath of fresh air, it was much closer to the feeling you get when you are drowning and your lungs burn to the point you swear they are going to burst. Brandy had smiled and nodded at Hallow's observation, acting very much like nothing was a miss. She knew that Hallow would be able to sense her own power as easily as she had sensed Hallow's.
"Yes, I would be Brandy" Hallow was the first person that she didn't suggest should call her BB rather than by her first name.
“I’m Hallow Stonebrook. Welcome to our coven.”
Brandy nodded, stepping toward Hallow and looking over her shoulder toward the beaded curtain. She wondered how many people had made up this group because the main source of power in this place was definitely her, Hallow, and Holly. Holly was impressively powerful for not being a natural witch, Brandy just thought it was so unfortunate that Hallow's darkness was trying to dwindle any positive magic that Holly had in her.
"Is there many more to arrive?"

All the time that Brandy was appraising her, Hallow was doing the same exact thing. She cast out a bit of her senses, tasting Brandy's aura and assessing it for power- she was strong, just what the coven needed, but could be squashed easily by Hallow herself if she got too uppity. With Holly and Hallow, well, she was no match at all. It made Hallow nearly giddy to think about, and she smiled warmly as she thought about it.
Was that a sense of rebellion, already? Hallow quirked her brow but her smile grew. This one would be fun to break.
She stepped aside as Brandy went to look through the curtain. So far, only six witches had gathered, including Holly but not Hallow. Brandy made eight.
"Are there many more to arrive?"
"We grow every week." As my reputation grows... "There is still time. We had ten last week. But numbers do not matter in a group as strong as ours. Come, sit- Holly can get you some wine if you'd like. I'll give the stragglers another few minutes before proceeding."
